Coincidence or Conspiracy....of one?

So when I was at the anime convention a few weeks back I kept seeing this skull logo everywhere for the show Gurren Lagann. I've read a lot about the show and have heard great things, I just haven't had the time to watch it yet. But what was bothering me was the skull logo. There was something about it that was just so familiar and it was driving me crazy until a couple minutes ago. I opened up the door to my mini fridge to get some water. My fridge is decorated in all kinds of stickers and one of them is what reminded me of the Gurren Lagann logo.

While comparing them they don't look exactly alike but there is definitely a resemblance I think!
